The Pogo Fan Club
The Pogo Fan Club is a loosely-knit mail fan club, which began in 1984. We have as a goal the study and preservation of all aspects of Walt Kelly's career, and in spite of our name, do not limit ourselves to Pogo. If you are interested in any of Walt Kelly's creations, or just interested in funny animals or humor comic strips in general, you will undoubtedly find kindred spirits among our members. The Fort Mudge Most is our official magazine, published bimonthly. The Most includes letters, "new" Kelly collectible discoveries, a buy/sell/trade column, on average one reprint of a rare or hard-to-find Kelly item in every issue and, for #8 (March 1989) to #37 (January 1994), the revived Walt Kelly's Pogo newspaper strip. Other contents include fan-produced articles and art, and questions and answers about Kelly's career, and information about upcoming events and gatherings. If you are a fan of Walt Kelly or Pogo, we hope that you will consider joining the Pogo Fan Club - all it takes is an expression of interest. Subscriptions to The Fort Mudge Most are currently $25 for 6 bimonthly issues ($35 for non-U.S. Subscriptions). All back issues are kept in print and available. If you don't want to subscribe at this time, general membership dues are $5 per year. This includes general mailings and a new PFC collectible. If you're still not sure, we will be glad to add you to our mailing list and send you our informational mailings about upcoming events. At this time, our members are scattered all over the world. We have members throughout the United States, as well as Canada, Europe and Australia. We hold a formal convention each year as part of the Pogofest in Waycross, Georgia, and have irregular gatherings on other occasions.
