Miniature Fishing Tackle Items

This photo shows some of my
miniature fishing items in a display case. The split bamboo rod and reel on the
top row were made in England, and are duplicates of a Hardy Salmon rod and reel.
The reel is made of silver.
The miniature hip boots are probably salesman's samples. They are undoubtedly
extremely rare.
The lower rod is an antique miniature. This type of rod form case is from the
early 1900s. The rod is a split bamboo fly rod.
Shown here are some of the
miniature fly reels in my collection. The largest reel (center) is 1-3/8 inches
in diameter, and the small English silver reel (lower right) is only 7/8 inches
in diameter. All these reels function, with the spools able to turn, and most
have clicks.
The set shown below is a group of four reels that were made in England as a
limited edition set.
