Original Art & Ephemera
Of course my favorite of the original pieces I have is the one with my name
on the boat. However, I have several other original comic strips and Walt Kelly
sketches and letters.

Charlie Russell wasn't the only artist to
send illustrated letters. Walt Kelly illustrated many of his letters.
This one is to his editor at Simon & Schuster, Helen Barrow. This
letter is typical of Walt Kelly. According to a letter I have from Helen
Barrow, his favorite nick name for her was "Wheel" (Barrow).
Why he called her "Bubbles" in this letter is unknown to me.
